Michael Jackson is known as the Greatest Entertainer of All Time. He is dubbed as the “King of Pop”

Michael Jackson is one of the highest selling artists of all time with up to 500 million records sold worldwide. He has 13 number one singles, 13 grammy awards, and 26 American Music Awards.

Michael Jackson also had a wonderful relationship with Africa and visited frequently since 1974 with the Jackson 5. Michael visited the countries of Tunisia, Gabon, Cote d’Ivoire, Senegal, Tanzania, Egypt and South Africa. Michael referred to Africa as “Home”.

In his trips to the continent, he took time to visit orphanages, children hospitals, churches, schools and playgrounds.

In 1985 Jackson co-wrote the song “We are the world” to raise money for famine relief in Africa. The song raised $60 million. In 1992 Michael started the “Heal the World” foundation where his focus was to provide medicine for children and fight world hunger.
